My latest EP "It's Not Rocket Science" was a learning experience in how to move my music to the next level. Everything about this album contains my latest thoughts and best efforts to date. The title track is about doing the right thing, which at times, appears to be missing in our society today. "Comfortable Lyin" covers ground about lying to yourself that it's ok to be alone. “Things we Don't Need” is the reality of buying things we don't need, to please the people we don't always like. “Think of Me” is really a song about telling a loved one to remember me when I'm gone. “Workin' on a Jeep” talks about the strong bond between a father and a son. "Already There" is about the passage of time and thinking back to a younger self. "One Way Love" is about loving someone who doesn't necessarily feel the same way. This album also includes three bonus tracks with “Full Band” versions of audience favorites “Nothin' but Believin”, “You and Me” and “Life Sure Ain't What It's Supposed to Be”. This album is available for download or purchase of a CD plus digital download. It will eventually move to streaming, as songs are released individually.

My EP "Cracks in the Road" was quite the journey to develop. The title track is really a compilation of several life experiences set to a country/pop feel. "Single Life" was a creation that came about from discussions with my daughter and how being single was sometimes difficult in terms of finding the right person. She provided me a lot of great content. Check it out I am sure you can relate. "Flyin' in the Sky" is a fun song that was written on a 5 hour flight to Seattle Washington. Anyone who has ever been on a plane ride or waited in an airport will surely relate. "Love Me" is just that, a fun pop song about being different and just being loved for who you are. "Night Train" is one of my darker songs and written based on my experiences in Chicago and riding the trains. I love the way the guitar parts came out. "Nothin' but Believin'" is all about needing something to believe in and sometimes that just has to be enough.
Cracks in the Road is the latest EP written and produced by Mike Lucey. The songs on this EP range from title track, which talks about everyday challenges in life to Love Me, which is a song about just being wanting to be loved.
You and Me is my very first EP release and was an excellent learning experience. The title track is a fun piece about all the things that couples tend to do together. Check it out I am sure that you have done at least one of the activities. "Life Sure Ain't What it Used to Be" is all about growing up in a small town and simply reflecting back on that time. This is one of my most popular songs when performing live. "Someone Like You" is a great song about trying to find that special person and realizing you already have. "Life in Pictures" is about reflecting back through a photo album and seeing all the amazing experiences we have had over time. "Green Day" was written during the pandemic. I was a remote worker and simply found myself looking out the window one sunny day and dreaming about better times.
You and Me is the first EP release written and produced by Mike Lucey. This EP features song like End of Time (the happiest break up song ever) to Green Day written during a long remote work session during the pandemic.
