Today, I thought I would talk about connections and by that I mean social connections.
I have a lot of friends on Facebook and the number is huge. How much of a relationship can I have with that many people? Here’s how I look at it. Every connection I have is someone’s mother, father, son, daughter, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle or maybe even a cousin. Although, I do by best to communicate through looking at and liking individual posts, I almost always wish them a Happy Birthday. That’s the one day of the year I am pretty on top of.
A lot of my friends are fellow musicians some famous, some not so famous, but we all have that camaraderie that goes with being a musician and performer. We have success’s and we have failures. Social media tools allow us to share both. Some of my friends are lovers of Live Music and for that I thank you. Not everyone is a fan of social media, however to me it allows a small connection to some pretty awesome people, which I think is really cool.
Human connections are the best, however social media allows connections that would never have possible otherwise. Pictures and updates of our daily lives make the World just a little smaller. So smile, take that picture and celebrate life. Cheers!
