l have an interesting observation and that is the phenomena of not being able to put a guitar down.
Earlier this week practicing new material for a gig, I realized I just couldn’t put my guitar down. I have heard this concept talked about many times, but I have only recently transcended into the abyss.
What happened is I continued playing my guitar after practicing, even though it wasn’t a particular song. Some might consider this diddling, but I’d like to think it was more the process of creating riffs and melodies and simply getting into the zone.
Even if you are not a guitar player, I think you can relate to the concept. One example might be, a good book that you just can’t seem to put down. Another might be, a TV series that you are hooked on and can’t wait for the next new episode to be released.
Some might consider our mutual behavior to be an obsession. Maybe so, however I think there are worse things to be obsessed about. So binge watch your next group of episodes or book series with your head held high. I am with you. Have an awesome day. Cheers!
